SUBLI is a recessed LED profile in silver anodised aluminium, made to be built into plasterboard construction. Its side flanges are plastered in together with the board, so once the wall or ceiling is finished only the line of light shows, with no frame around it. One length measures 2.02 m. Cross-section and the space it needs The profile body is 27.4 mm wide and 27.5 mm high; across both plastering flanges the span is 53.4 mm - that is the width of the recess the dry-lining has to allow for, not the width of the visible slot. The internal channel measures 25.0 x 19.3 mm. A 25 mm channel takes two LED strips side by side, the arrangement this profile was designed for. Lumines publishes no figure for strip width, so measure your own strip including its adhesive layer and compare it with 25 mm before buying. A length sold as 2 m is in fact 2020 mm; the extra 20 mm is cutting allowance. The profile is also made in 1000 and 3000 mm, and to order up to 6 m. What has to be bought alongside it The profile is sold bare - no strip, no cover, no end caps, no springs. For this system the manufacturer provides the DOUBLE cover (from transparent through to black), aluminium end caps with a cable hole in silver, number 12-0665-10, and the mounting springs 14-5001-00 that seat it in a ceiling or a wall. The driver mounts outside the profile - there is no room for it inside - so the installation needs a separate, serviceable place for it. The profile is not sealed and, as sold, is rated IP20, which restricts it to dry interiors. Joining lengths and the strip power it can take Lengths can be joined: the system has the straight connector 14-3032-02, angular connectors at 90°, 120° and 135° and a transverse angular one, so the line of light runs from ceiling onto wall without a break. The profile is not drive-over rated - it does not go into a floor. The aluminium carries heat away from the strip, and the manufacturer states its limit: maximum dissipated power of the LED sources is 35.0 W at a profile temperature of 55 °C and 46.2 W at 65 °C.
