Quintiesse Porter M Outdoor Wall Lantern Aged Zinc 1xE27 60W IP44 47 cm

Name: Quintiesse Porter M Outdoor Wall Lantern Aged Zinc 1xE27 60W IP44 47 cm
Brand: Quintiesse

Porter M is an outdoor wall lantern: a box-shaped aluminium body with flat clear glass panes on four sides, in an Aged Zinc finish - a matt, mottled grey in the manner of weathered zinc. A rectangular wall plate joins the body through a forged link made of two interlocking rings, and the frame corners are riveted. Size and connection The fitting measures 474 mm high and 140 mm wide, and stands 185 mm out from the wall. That last figure matters more than the others here: at an entrance whose door opens outwards, the lantern has to sit clear of its swing. The mounting height cannot be adjusted - the body is fixed rigidly to the wall plate. The lantern weighs 2.45 kg and wires permanently into a 220-240 V, 50 Hz supply. There is no plug and no lead with one, so a cable has to reach the mounting point. The bulb is bought separately Inside sits a single E27 lampholder for a lamp of up to 60 W. The manufacturer supplies no lamp and uses no integrated LED here, so the light source is a separate purchase. The panes are clear and the whole bulb is visible from outside, which is why the manufacturer recommends a tubular filament-style lamp: in this frame it reads as part of the design rather than as an incidental globe. Dimming is decided by the lamp: the fitting has no control gear of its own and works with lamps described as dimmable, provided a dimmer sits in the circuit. Where it may hang The manufacturer intends Porter M for exterior use only - IP44 protects against splashing water from any direction, and that is the range the lantern is approved for. The frame is aluminium and the glass is flat and clear. A three-year anti-corrosion guarantee comes with it, with one exclusion the manufacturer states: it does not cover installation closer than 5 miles to the coastline, where salt air attacks coatings far faster. Who designs Porter The lantern comes from the Lisa McDennon by Hinkley line, distributed in Europe by Quintiesse, a brand of the Elstead group. The Porter family covers three sizes of the same body - S, M and L - so a wide doorway can take the larger one and a narrow entrance the smaller, keeping the same frame drawing.Mostrar mais
