Hinkley Bainbridge Medium Wall Lantern - 1 light - Oil Rubbed Bronze Elstead

Name: Hinkley Bainbridge Medium Wall Lantern - 1 light - Oil Rubbed Bronze Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Bainbridge is a medium wall lantern by Hinkley, distributed by Elstead Lighting. The four-sided lantern tapers towards the top, has bevelled glass panels and hangs from a curved arm fixed to a rectangular wall plate. The cast aluminium body is finished in Oil Rubbed Bronze, a dark oiled bronze, with accents in Heritage Brass. Size and mounting The lantern is 48.8 cm high and 17 cm wide and projects 21.5 cm from the wall. Compare the height with the space between the door frame and the eaves or a window sill, and the projection with the width of the path along the wall. The Bainbridge range also has a smaller lantern for entrances with less room. The fitting weighs 2.41 kg. It is Class I, which means it must be connected to an earth conductor, and it runs directly on 230 V mains. Outdoor use The manufacturer specifies the lantern for exterior mounting. An IP44 rating means protection against splashing water from any direction, so the fitting copes with rain on a facade; it is not meant for places that can be flooded. Cast aluminium does not rust the way steel does, which suits it to a front door, a terrace or a garage entrance. Lamp and light quality The lantern has one E27 socket for a lamp of up to 60 W. No lamp is included, so you choose the brightness and colour yourself. The panes are clear and the lamp stays visible: a lamp with a visible filament underlines the classic character of the lantern, and a warm colour of around 2700 K gives a cosy, yellowish light at the door. The fitting is compatible with dimmable lamps where a suitable dimmer is installed. The classic lantern shape with bevelled glass and dark metal suits a house facade or the entrance to a hotel or restaurant.Mostrar mais
