Zambelis Ceiling Light White Bamboo 80 cm E27 1x40W

Name: Zambelis Ceiling Light White Bamboo 80 cm E27 1x40W
Brand: Zambelis

Zambelis 19250 is an openwork disc 80 cm across and 8 cm deep: the outer ring is made of white metal slats, the inner one of natural bamboo strips. In the centre, on a small white disc, sits the lamp holder. How big it is and where it mounts Eighty centimetres of diameter is a figure to compare with the ceiling or wall area it is going on — the disc takes up as much room as a large picture. It stands 8 cm off the surface and its base is only 8 cm across and 2,5 cm high. The manufacturer provides for surface mounting on a ceiling and on a wall alike; no cut-out and no space above the ceiling are needed. The carton measures 83 × 83 × 12 cm and weighs 3,8 kg gross — worth checking if the way into the flat runs through a narrow stairwell. Bulb and connection The fitting takes one bulb with an E27 thread rated up to 40 W. The bulb is not included, so colour and brightness are yours to choose — and since the source sits exposed in the middle of the disc, it is visible from every side and its shape shows. Supply is 220–240 V at 50/60 Hz and the fitting belongs to protection class I, so it needs an earth conductor. The manufacturer states no built-in dimming: regulating the brightness calls for a dimmable bulb and a dimmer in the installation. The structure and what it does with light The slats radiate from the centre with narrow gaps between them. The light therefore goes not only down but sideways through the openwork — in the manufacturer's photographs the lit fitting draws a radiating pattern of light and shadow around itself. The whole thing is built from metal and bamboo, with no glass parts, and the bamboo strips keep the natural tone of the wood. The manufacturer provides for indoor use only. Which interior it suits Natural bamboo set against white is a combination typical of boho and Scandinavian interiors: the weave brings texture while the white ring keeps the whole in a light key. The fitting suits a living room, a bedroom and a dining room, and thanks to the two mounting options also hotel spaces, where the same form can hang on the ceiling and on the wall.Mostrar mais
