LED Labs STANDARD 16-1066-39 is a five-metre LED strip with 300 SMD 2835 LEDs and fixed neutral-white light at 4000 K. This IP65HS version uses a heat-shrink covering rather than a thicker silicone layer. It is a component for a 12 V DC lighting installation, not a finished lamp that connects directly to mains power.Light along shelves and cabinetsThe density of 60 LEDs per metre allows lighting to run along shelves, cabinets and other fitted furniture. It can provide supplementary kitchen or wardrobe lighting and decorative light lines in residential and commercial interiors. The strip itself does not dictate an interior style: its exposed LED layout and circuit board are technical elements rather than a decorative luminaire.The manufacturer specifies a light output of 520 lm per metre and CRI 80. The 4000 K colour temperature means a fixed neutral white; this is neither an RGB strip nor a version offering a choice between warm and cool white. When comparing installations of different lengths, distinguish the output of one metre from that of the full reel.Check the width and power supplyThe PCB is 8 mm wide. Compare that measurement with the available space in any profile or connector before selecting it. The datasheet identifies a 2 oz PCB and double-sided adhesive tape for mounting. The full reel is 5 m long, so measure the intended lighting run before ordering.Power consumption is 4.8 W/m, equivalent to 24 W for the full five metres. A suitable 12 V DC LED power supply is required, with its capacity selected for the length actually used. Brightness control also requires compatible equipment: the EPREL product information sheet permits dimming only with specific dimmers.Protection applies to the stripIP65 describes the strip with its HS covering, not automatically the complete assembly. For bathroom or outdoor use, the connections and power supply also need protection appropriate to their installation position. The specified operating temperature range is −20 to +45°C.
