Stavanger 2241AL is a 95 cm bollard light shaped as a smooth cylinder with a 20 × 20 cm footprint. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium in light grey RAL 9006, and beneath the flat top cover runs a ring of satin PMMA through which the light leaves. The luminaire weighs 10.28 kg net. How much light it gives The LED module and driver are built in, so there is no bulb to buy. The luminaire draws 13.6 W and delivers 565 lm at 4000 K, a neutral white that is cooler than a traditional bulb. The module itself produces 2058 lm; the difference is held back by the satin ring, which spreads the light all around the bollard instead of sending it out as one beam. The manufacturer states a ULOR of 39.41% and a BUG rating of B0-U2-G1: a considerable share of the light goes upwards, which is worth considering if the bollard will stand below a bedroom window. The luminaire is phase-dimmable with both trailing-edge and leading-edge dimmers, so it works with either type found in existing installations. The manufacturer gives a module lifetime of L80 over 102,000 h and L90 over 52,600 h. The LED module and driver can be replaced, but only by a professional service; the manufacturer supplies service kit ZS2241zx0009 for this. Mounting and connection The bollard is fixed through three ø9 mm holes set at 120° on a 145 mm circle. Nothing for anchoring it in the ground is included. The manufacturer sells a ground anchor (1231), a concreting anchor (1230), a concrete foundation adapter (1232), a mounting adapter (3087) and a junction box (7662) separately, so the choice depends on whether the bollard stands in a lawn or on concrete. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm² and allow loop-through wiring, so several bollards along a path can run on one cable. The gland fits a round cable of 8–17 mm diameter. This is a protection class II luminaire, so it needs no protective earth conductor. Where it fits IP65 lets the bollard stay outdoors without any cover, and IK08 means resistance to impacts of up to 5 J. The manufacturer intends it for private grounds and public areas: it suits a garden, a terrace, a driveway or a street.
