Q-VITO 8410-13 is a pendant lamp built as a single ring 40 cm across, finished in anthracite. A band of light runs all the way round the hoop, which hangs on three thin cables from a round ceiling plate in the same colour. The LED module is permanently built in. How large it is and how low it hangs The ring is 40 cm in diameter and the maximum drop is 120 cm. The cables are shortened during installation, so that is a range rather than a requirement. Over a table the drop is usually set so the bottom edge sits 70–80 cm above the top. A 40 cm diameter keeps its proportion over a table 80–90 cm wide. The luminaire weighs 1.55 kg and will hang from an ordinary ceiling hook; a plasterboard ceiling needs a fixing into the supporting structure. How much light it gives and in what colour The manufacturer publishes two figures and it is worth telling them apart when planning a room: the LED module itself is rated 3250 lm, but 1150 lm actually leaves the diffuser, and that is the usable number. It is a little more than a traditional 60 W bulb, so light for a defined spot rather than the main lighting of a large room. The luminaire draws 33 W in total. Colour temperature is adjustable steplessly from 2700 to 5000 K, from a warm white close to a traditional bulb through to cool white. Brightness goes down to 10 percent. Both are changed from the remote, and a memory function restores the last setting after the supply has been disconnected and restored. Control, supply and mounting The infrared remote is included, so there is nothing extra to buy. The luminaire is smart-home capable. Dimming is electronic and happens on the remote's command, so the fitting must not be wired to a phase-cut wall dimmer — that can damage the driver. The lamp runs on 230 V and is protection class II, so it needs no earth conductor. Its IP20 rating restricts it to dry interiors. The body combines metal with plastic. The LED module cannot be swapped the way a bulb can — at the end of its life the whole luminaire is replaced.Mostrar mais
