Norlys Bergen 271BL outdoor ceiling light black E27

Name: Norlys Bergen 271BL outdoor ceiling light black E27
Brand: NORLYS

Bergen 271BL is an outdoor ceiling light in lantern form: a black body of hot-dip galvanised, powder-coated steel, a wide flat shade 28 cm across and a clear polycarbonate bowl beneath it. The whole fitting stands 22.5 cm high and weighs 2.1 kg. Mounting and connection The fitting is fixed through two ø5.5 mm holes 60 mm apart — compare that spacing with the fixing points in your porch or gazebo ceiling before you drill. At 2.1 kg ordinary concrete plugs or wood screws are enough. Inside are terminals for conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm², and the EPDM gland closes on a round cable 7 to 10.5 mm in diameter. Flat cable, or anything thicker, cannot be sealed in it, so check what has been brought out at the mounting point. Which lamp it takes The fitting runs one lamp with an E27 base in an A55–A60 envelope, the classic pear shape; a larger envelope will not fit under the bowl. The manufacturer allows an LED lamp of up to 9 W, and the user changes it without tools from the installer. No lamp is included. Norlys names the Philips Master LEDbulb 806 lm / 8.5 W / 2700 K as the matching choice — 806 lm is the brightness of an old 60 W bulb, and 2700 K is warm, slightly yellow light. That lamp is dimmable, so the fitting can sit on a dimmed circuit. Outdoors IP55 means protection against dust and against water jets from any direction, so the fitting can hang on an open ceiling with no further shelter. The operating range of −20 to +45 °C covers a Central European winter. The body is hot-dip galvanised first and powder-coated afterwards, and the bowl is UV-stabilised polycarbonate, which yellows more slowly in sunlight than ordinary plastic. Norlys lists the bowl on its own as spare part 06240003. The fitting is protection class II, so it needs no earth conductor. Where it belongs Light leaves the bowl uncovered and is shielded only from above, by the shade that directs the flux downwards. The manufacturer intends the lantern for a terrace, a gazebo and an entrance. The shape is classic in a Scandinavian reading: straight support tubes, a ring around the bowl and a wide shade instead of ornament.Mostrar mais
