Perth chandelier - 3 light sources - Matte black Elstead

Name: Perth chandelier - 3 light sources - Matte black Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Perth is a three-arm chandelier by Alora Mood, distributed by Elstead Lighting. Thin steel rods in matte black form a triangular frame, and each arm ends in a matte opal glass globe set in a cup of woven rattan. An openwork rattan ring also surrounds the central disc where the arms meet. Size and hanging height The fitting spans 101.4 cm and the part carrying the globes is 26.7 cm tall. Compare that span with the length of your table or the width of the room: over a top shorter than a metre, the arms will reach beyond its edges. The chandelier weighs 3.7 kg, which the ceiling fixing point has to carry. It hangs on a rigid rod rather than a cable. Five rods are supplied – three of 305 mm, one of 152 mm and one of 102 mm – and the installer combines them to set an overall drop between 45.7 and 148.2 cm. The height is fixed once, during installation, so decide it beforehand: over a dining table, the lower edge of the globes usually sits 70–80 cm above the top. The round ceiling plate is 10.2 cm across and 2.5 cm deep. Bulbs and dimming There are three E14 lampholders, each rated for a bulb of up to 40 W. Bulbs are not included, so you choose the colour temperature and brightness yourself; the matte opal glass diffuses the light and hides the shape of the bulb. The manufacturer lists the fitting as compatible with dimmable lamps – dimming needs such bulbs plus a dimmer on the circuit. The chandelier is protection class I, so it must be connected to an earth conductor. It is intended for indoor use. Where it fits The manufacturer suggests Perth for the living room, the dining room – including over the table – the bedroom, and hallways and corridors. The shape draws on mid-century lighting: a geometric frame of thin rods and spherical shades, warmed by natural rattan. With no closed shade, the rattan and glass are visible from every side. Perth is also available in a brushed gold finish.Mostrar mais
