ARGON ERBA 630 is a single-light pendant on a chain: a conical shade 29 cm across with a stepped collar at the top, all of it steel lacquered in matt white, the inside included.Which lamp it takesThe fitting has one E27 lampholder and comes with no lamp. The manufacturer states a ceiling of 15 W and permits LED or energy-saving lamps only — on the installation card the ordinary filament lamp is crossed out and the LED is ticked.More important than the wattage is what the card prints beside it: the maximum lamp size is 50 mm in diameter and 105 mm in length. A standard A60 pear measures 60 mm across, so it will not go in — you need a slimmer lamp, a candle or tube shape for instance. That is the only place the manufacturer states this dimension.The card also carries a ticked dimmer mark, but whether the lamp actually dims is decided by the lamp itself.How high it hangsThe whole drop measures 1150 mm, of which 1000 mm is chain. The chain can be shortened, so the hanging height follows the ceiling height and the surface the lamp is to hang over — above a dining table of the usual 75 cm it is this adjustable section that sets the clearance to the tabletop.The shade is 29 cm across and throws its light downwards in a clearly drawn circle. The ceiling rose is 10 cm across, a figure worth comparing with the box in your ceiling.Mounting and operating conditionsThe fitting weighs 0.75 kg and hangs from a hook screwed into the ceiling. The manufacturer marks it with the protective-earth symbol, that is as a class I luminaire: an earth core has to be brought to the box.An IP20 rating and a stated use in rooms of standard humidity mean dry interiors, and not the shower zone of a bathroom.Mostrar mais
