COLLAGE 7230 is a ceiling light built from four openwork metal discs of differing diameters, arranged around a round ceiling plate and set on several planes so that they partly overlap. Each disc is cut into concentric arcs and a lattice, and the whole is finished in matt black, RAL 9005. The design is signed by Santiago Sevillano. How much ceiling it takes up The body covers a 69,5 × 63,5 cm rectangle on the ceiling and drops 17 cm below it. That is the measurement to compare against the clear ceiling area where it is to go — at this size the fitting is the dominant element in the room, not a discreet point of light. The height cannot be adjusted: the discs are bolted to the body. Mounting goes through a round 20 cm ceiling plate, which covers the junction box in the ceiling. What light it gives The built-in LED modules deliver 4500 lm from the fitting as a whole, against 4250 lm measured at the source itself, for 60 W drawn. That is enough for the fitting to be the only light in a room rather than a supplement to floor lamps. 3000 K is warm white, and colour rendering of Ra 80 matches ordinary general lighting. The light leaves modules hidden between the discs and passes through the cut-outs, so the pattern of the shades appears on the ceiling and the walls. The fitting is not dimmable — the output is fixed and the switch is the only control. Supply and service life The fitting is protection class I, so an earth conductor has to be present at the ceiling point. Supply is 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz, and the IP20 rating restricts it to dry interiors. The light source cannot be replaced — the manufacturer states this outright, so the diodes' life, quoted as 30 000 hours and 30 000 switching cycles, is the life of the whole fitting.
