Savio SPL-27357-4-BK-GD is an 84.5 cm bar carrying four bell-shaped shades, mounted on a round ceiling plate at its centre. The shades are matt black outside and gold inside, and each sits on a knuckle joint, so they turn independently of one another. Size, and what the adjustable heads do The bar is 84.5 cm long and 12 cm wide, and it stands 20 cm below the ceiling. That last figure is the one to compare with room height: in a corridor or hallway with a low ceiling it drops far less than a pendant would. The movable shades change what the fitting is for. Aimed down they give four points of light over a worktop or a table; turned to the wall they light pictures or shelves; fanned outwards they brighten a whole room with reflected light. Which bulbs to buy The fitting has four E14 threads and takes bulbs of up to 40 W each. Bulbs are not included. The manufacturer allows both classic and LED types, so you choose the colour and brightness yourself — as a guide, about 800 lm matches a former 60 W incandescent bulb, and four such sources light a medium room. Savio dims only with a suitable bulb: you need lamps described as dimmable and a dimmer. The fitting itself carries no control electronics. The supply is 230 V. Build Body, arm and shades are made of a metal alloy. The black outside is matt, without gloss, and the inside of each shade is gold with an embossed motif that shows when you look up at the fitting. The contrast between the dark body and the bright interior reads even with the light off. Where it works Bell shades on a plain metal arm are industrial retro: the fitting suits rooms with raw materials and dark joinery.
