The Narvik II 559AL is a 95 cm bollard light: a cylindrical cast-aluminium body, powder-coated in light grey RAL 9006 and topped with a dome. A band of satin PMMA runs below the dome, letting light out on four sides while the top stays shielded. Dimensions and mounting According to the manufacturer's drawing the bollard is 95 cm high and 24 cm in diameter at the base, and it weighs 10.43 kg. It is bolted down through six 10 × 15 mm slotted holes spaced at 60° on a ø172 mm circle. The concrete-in anchor (505), the concrete-foundation adapter (110) and the mounting adapters (3088, 6011) are sold separately, so the fixing has to be chosen and ordered together with the bollard. The supply is connected through an inspection door in the body. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm², and the circuit can be looped on to the next bollard; the round-sheathed cable may be ø8–12 mm or ø10–14 mm. The fitting is protection class II, so no protective earth conductor is needed. How much light, and what kind The integrated Cree LED module produces 1940 lm, and 666 lm leave the fitting at 13.4 W. The design explains the difference: the dome shields the light from above and the satin diffuser spreads it, so the bollard mainly lights the ground around it and sends 18% of its output upwards. 3000 K is warm white, and CRI 80 renders paving, grass and planting without noticeable colour shift. The bollard is phase-dimmable with either a trailing-edge (TE) or a leading-edge (LE) dimmer, and the electronic driver is built in. The LED module and control gear are replaced by a professional service; Norlys offers a repair kit for this fitting. The manufacturer rates the drop to 80% of the output (L80) at more than 102,000 h. Build and intended use The silicone-sealed housing is rated IP65 – dust-tight and protected against water jets – so the bollard can stand without any cover. IK10 is the highest impact rating on that scale, which matters along paths, at driveways and wherever the bollard might be knocked.
