The Steinel XLED slim S in anthracite is a wall-mounted LED floodlight with the motion sensor in the same dark housing as the head. A slim rectangular panel sits on a curved arm behind a transparent cover. The article number is 012052.Light from the panelThe integrated STEINEL LED and its control gear cannot be replaced. At the end of source life the whole floodlight is replaced. It draws 7.2 W. Total product flux and the measured 360° flux are both 648 lm, at 90 lm/W. That suits an entrance, a short path or a section of facade, not a large yard. The colour is 3000 K warm white, SDCM3, CRI 82. The light-source energy class is F. Brightness cannot be adjusted.Sensor and settingsThe infrared sensor covers 160°. Tangential reach is 8 m (89 m²) and radial reach is 4 m (22 m²). A masking sticker is included, so a path or part of a neighbouring plot can be excluded. Twilight is set from 2 to 1000 lx and on-time from 2 seconds to 70 minutes, both by potentiometer. A photocell and a sneak-by guard are included. It does not interconnect with other lights. Wind, snow, rain and hail can switch it on, because the sensor reacts to a sudden temperature change. It is not suitable as a burglar alarm.Wall mountingDimensions are 201 × 66 × 241 mm (length × width × height). Sales-unit net weight is 0.57 kg. Mount it on a wall with surface wiring, ideally at 2.2 m and no higher than 4 m. Mounting accessories are included; a corner wall mount is not. Aim the panel only after it has cooled, because the enclosure heats while the light is on. Do not fix it to a normally flammable surface. Supply is 220–240 V, 50–60 Hz, protection class I, so connect it with the supply isolated. The cable cannot be replaced. IP44 and IK03 apply, and the stated ambient range is −20 to +40 °C. The housing is aluminium and the cover is transparent UV-resistant plastic. Clean it dry, or with a moist cloth and no detergent; do not wet-clean it. Warranty is 3 years. LED life expectancy is 50,000 h at the stated maximum temperature, and L70B50 at 25 °C is more than 60,000 h.Steinel specifies outdoor use around the building, at entrances and paths, and on a terrace or balcony.
