Koster Pro 1843GR is a post-top luminaire: a straight arm runs from an upright sleeve to a domed shade 24.5 cm in diameter. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated graphite RAL 7016, and the underside of the shade is closed by a clear, textured cover of UV-stabilised polycarbonate. Mounting and size The fitting is made for a pole with a ø50 mm mounting spigot and slides 80 mm down onto it. No pole is included; it is bought separately. Overall the luminaire is 45 cm long and 24.5 cm high, and weighs 2.86 kg. A 3.7 m H05VV-F 5G1 lead runs down inside the pole and is joined in a suitable junction box. What light it gives It draws 18.4 W and delivers 1938 lm, enough for a path, the area in front of an entrance or a car park. 4000 K is neutral white light, and CRI 70 is enough to tell colours apart outdoors but not to render them faithfully. The Ledil VSM lens (IESNA type V) spreads the light widely and evenly all round the pole; ULOR 0% means nothing shines above the horizontal. DALI2 control The driver supports DALI2 and NightDim (Philips Xi FP NLD) and is factory-set to maximum current. The luminaire can therefore join an outdoor lighting control system and dim on a schedule; other parameters are programmed by arrangement with the maker. Light source and servicing The source is a built-in Philips Fortimo FastFlex module. The LED module and driver are replaced by a qualified service technician, not by the user; the maker supplies repair kit ZS1843zx0010 and electrical repair kit 911750000. The module is rated L90B10 over 100,000 h, about 91 years at three hours a day, and the driver 100,000 h. Energy efficiency class of the light source: D. Durability and installation IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, IK10 is the top grade of enclosure impact resistance, and a 6/10 kV surge rating guards against mains spikes. The luminaire is protection class I and needs a protective earth. Up to 29 of them can run on one B16 circuit breaker. A plain dome on a straight arm is a form in the Scandinavian vein. The luminaire is intended for gardens and parks, and for hotel and restaurant grounds.Show more
