The LGT28G is a free-standing unit with four tempered glass tiers held in a gold metal frame. The frame is slim and open on every side, so the unit does not read as a solid block — the wall behind it stays visible. How much room it takes and what fits between the tiers The unit measures 40 cm wide, 30 cm deep and 95 cm high. At that depth it goes into a narrow alcove or a hallway, where 30 cm rarely gets in the way of the passage, and the 95 cm height sits at roughly worktop level — the top tier is open above, so something taller can stand there. The manufacturer gives the size of a single compartment: 37.5 x 27.5 x 27 cm. Those 27 cm of clearance are the figure worth checking before you buy — an A4 binder or book is 29.7 cm tall and will not stand upright between the tiers. Laid flat, or on the top surface, both fit. What each tier will carry The panels are 4 mm thick tempered glass, and the manufacturer rates them at a maximum static load of 10 kg per tier. That figure counts separately for each of the four tiers rather than adding up to a total for the unit, so it is better to spread the load than to stack everything on one panel. The feet are adjustable, which lets you level the unit on an uneven floor — and with four glass panels a stable stance is not a side issue. Assembly and what is in the box The unit arrives to be screwed together. The box holds the unit itself, a pack of assembly hardware and a manual in German, English, Spanish, French and Italian.
