NORLYS Rondane 538AL outdoor wall and ceiling light, light grey RAL 9006, E27

Name: NORLYS Rondane 538AL outdoor wall and ceiling light, light grey RAL 9006, E27
Brand: NORLYS

The Rondane 538AL is a round outdoor bulkhead light that mounts on a wall or a ceiling. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated in light grey RAL 9006, and the opal UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser is crossed by two bars. The fitting is 26 cm in diameter and projects 10.5 cm from the surface; the manufacturer describes it as a ceiling-wall light of modern design. Mounting and wiring The fitting is fixed through two ø5 mm holes spaced 165 × 95 mm apart. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow another fitting to be fed from this one (loop-through up to 3 × 1.5 mm²), so several lights on one facade can share a single cable. The gland accepts a cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter, a figure to check against the cable coming out of the wall. The light is protection class I, so it must be connected to an earth conductor. IP65 means it is fully dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, and IK10 is the highest impact rating on the scale (20 J), which matters where the light hangs low and can be knocked. A silicone gasket seals the diffuser. What light it gives Inside is an E27 socket for an A55–A60 LED bulb, the ordinary pear-shaped lamp 55–60 mm across, up to 9 W. No bulb is included. Norlys gives a dimmable 806 lm / 8.5 W / 2700 K LED bulb as an example, which matches the brightness of an old 60 W bulb and gives warm, yellowish light. The opal diffuser spreads the light, so the bulb does not show as a glaring point. According to the manufacturer, 11.82% of the light leaves above the horizontal of the fitting (ULOR). The bulb is changed by the user, and Norlys stocks the diffuser, the gasket and an E27 LED bulb as spare parts, so a damaged part can be replaced without changing the whole fitting.Show more
