GFA890C Recessed Light, White, Gea Luce

Name: GFA890C Recessed Light, White, Gea Luce
Brand: Gea Luce

Gea Luce GFA890C is a miniature recessed spotlight with a matt white square trim and a movable circular light module. Its body and heatsink are aluminium, with an integrated 3 W CREE LED inside. The combination of a small face and modest light output makes this an accent light rather than a substitute for a room's main lighting.A square face with a round cutoutThe visible trim measures 40 × 40 mm, while the required installation opening is 35 mm in diameter. These are different measurements: one describes the finished appearance on the ceiling, and the other determines the hole to prepare. The manufacturer's drawing also gives a height of 50 mm.Space must be allowed for the transformer as well as the spotlight body. The transformer is included but is not integrated into the fitting, so the small trim does not represent the space required by the complete installation. Check the available space behind the mounting surface before committing to a layout. The manufacturer requires installation by qualified personnel.Adjustable direction, fixed switching modeThe integrated LED provides warm white light at 3000 K, with a declared luminous flux of 170 lm. A 38° beam concentrates light on a selected area rather than spreading it broadly. The movable insert lets you change its direction when a detail or a particular part of the interior needs an accent. There is no separate bulb to choose: the CREE LED module comes with the fitting. Operation is on/off only, and the spotlight is not dimmable. This matters when selecting controls, as brightness adjustment through a dimmer is not supported.A small detail in a wider lighting planThe plain square frame, round opening and matt white finish suit modern and minimalist interiors. In a living room, bedroom, dining area or hallway, it can supplement other lighting with a small directional point. When using several fittings, relate their positions to the actual surfaces to be illuminated rather than assuming that one miniature spotlight will provide general illumination.Show more
