Elstead Cappanna small outdoor wall lantern, textured black, 1×E27

Name: Elstead Cappanna small outdoor wall lantern, textured black, 1×E27
Brand: Elstead Lighting

The small Cappanna is a Kichler outdoor wall lantern supplied by Elstead Lighting. Its textured-black aluminium frame surrounds clear glass with a rippled surface. A broad, flat roof and straight borders give the rectangular lantern a traditional outline without elaborate scrollwork.Allow for its projection from the wallThe KL-CAPPANNA-S-BKT version measures 25.8 cm high and 16.4 cm wide, with a projection of 20 cm. Compare all three measurements with the available space beside a doorway and the movement of nearby doors before choosing its position. The narrow body does not make this a flush-fitting wall light: the projection is the measurement that matters when a walkway passes close to the mounting surface. The manufacturer specifies exterior use and an IP44 rating. Its wall-mounted format makes it a candidate for a facade, entrance or a wall alongside a terrace or balcony. It requires a wall position rather than a place directly on the ground, so it is not a freestanding garden lantern.Choose the E27 bulb separatelyThere is one E27 socket, rated for a bulb of up to 60 W. No bulb is included. Brightness and colour temperature therefore depend on the light source you choose, rather than on a fixed integrated LED module. The rippled clear glazing remains part of the lantern's appearance in daylight as well as when the light is switched on.Cappanna is compatible with dimmable lamps. Dimming requires a suitable bulb and compatible control; the E27 socket alone does not mean every bulb can be dimmed. The 220–240 V mains supply and Class I construction require an appropriate protective-earth connection.A familiar lantern with squared detailingThe black borders, horizontal roof and rectangular glass panels combine the recognisable lantern shape with a more geometric finish. Cappanna can complement traditional or contemporary facades where a visible exterior fitting is wanted, rather than a concealed source that disappears into the building.Show more
