Sigma FRAME 1 graphite ceiling light 41279

Name: Sigma FRAME 1 graphite ceiling light 41279
Brand: Sigma

Sigma FRAME 1 is a graphite ceiling light built around an open rectangular frame and one circular light-source holder. Its lacquered-steel construction has a consistent colour, while the centre of the rectangle leaves the ceiling visible. Article 41279 identifies the version with a single GX53 fitting.A frame rather than a solid ceiling shadeThe complete fixture measures 33.5 cm wide, 23.5 cm long and 7.7 cm high. These are the overall dimensions, not the size of the circular shade alone. Compare both sides of the rectangle with the available ceiling area and the position of the electrical outlet before deciding where to place it. The frame extends beyond the light point and is an important part of the lamp's footprint. The round shade is 8 cm in diameter and 4 cm high. It sits towards one end of the frame, with the circular ceiling base positioned towards the other. That offset arrangement distinguishes FRAME from a compact, centrally arranged flush light. The manufacturer specifies bracket mounting and a fixed height without adjustment. This is not a pendant with a drop that can be shortened or lowered to suit a table.Choosing the GX53 light sourceThe fitting takes one GX53 LED source rated at no more than 12 W. Check the base designation when selecting a bulb: an E27 or GU10 bulb is not a compatible substitute. Brightness and colour temperature depend on the chosen light source. The graphite finish does not determine the colour of the light, and the illuminated product photograph should not be treated as a fixed colour-temperature specification.Where the open geometry makes senseStraight edges, an open centre and the absence of ornament give the fixture a modern, minimalist character. Consider it for an entrance hall, corridor, dressing room or bedroom, or as part of the lighting in a living room, kitchen or dining room. For a larger space, plan the number of fixtures around the selected bulb's actual lumen output and the other lighting present, rather than its maximum wattage alone.Show more
