Quoizel Gotham 4 Light Chandelier - Brushed Brass Elstead

Name: Quoizel Gotham 4 Light Chandelier - Brushed Brass Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Gotham is a four-light chandelier by Quoizel, distributed in Europe by Elstead Lighting. Four cream fabric shades sit on a metal ring, and above it rises an open frame of four curved steel bands that meet at a single hanger at the top. A clear glass sphere sits beneath each shade, and the frame, chain and ceiling pan are finished in brushed brass.Size and hanging heightThe body measures 77.5 cm across and 57.2 cm high. Over a dining table, compare that diameter with the width of the tabletop and hang the lower edge of the shades 70–80 cm above it, so the light covers the table without dazzling anyone seated. The chandelier hangs on 121.9 cm of chain, and the overall drop can be set anywhere from 66 to 187.9 cm; compare that range with your own ceiling height. It weighs 6.5 kg, so the ceiling fixing has to carry that load, which on a suspended ceiling means anchoring into the structure above. It is a Class I fitting and must be connected with an earth conductor.Lamps and light colourThere are four G9 lampholders, and four 3 W LED G9 lamps come in the box. Each gives 300 lm, 1200 lm in total, and the maker rates each one as equivalent to a 28 W traditional bulb. That is below the roughly 1500 lm where main room lighting begins: enough over a table or in a hallway, while a large living room will want other sources as well. The supplied lamps have a colour temperature of 3000 K, a warm white, and the light passes through the fabric of the shades, which diffuses it. The fitting works with dimmable lamps, so dimming needs a dimmer and G9 lamps sold as dimmable. For replacements the maker allows a G9 LED of up to 3 W in each holder.Construction and where it fitsThe frame is steel, the spheres are glass and the shades are cream fabric. The Gotham family also includes this chandelier in an Imperial Silver finish and a pendant in the same style. Traditional drum shades set on a light, geometric frame place it in the modern classic style. It is for indoor use and suits a dining table, a hallway or a hotel interior, where it hangs centrally and is seen from every side.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
