Name: NORLYS Namsos 5116GA Outdoor Recessed Wall Light, Hot-Dip Galvanised, LED 5.2 W 4000 K, IP44
Brand: NORLYS

Namsos 5116GA is a recessed wall light with a 27 × 12.5 cm rectangular front in hot-dip galvanised steel and satin glass in the opening. The cast aluminium body sits 11 cm deep in the wall, and its diffused light is directed downward onto steps or the ground in front of the wall. Hot-dip galvanising is a bare metallic coating with no paint, in the shade of grey metal.Where and how it is installedThe maker intends it for lighting stairs, steps, stairwells and walkways. It is set into masonry in a 258 × 112 × 115 mm opening, or into a cavity wall in a 235 × 96 × 82 mm opening, so the recess size is worth knowing before the wall is finished. It is protection class I and needs a protective earth conductor. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the next fitting can be looped through with up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so several lights along a staircase can run from one cable. The gland accepts round cable of ø7–10.5 mm.How much light, and what kindThe 4 W Philips LED module delivers 689 lm from the luminaire at a 5.2 W draw, which is 132.5 lm/W. At 4000 K the light is neutral white, and Ra 80 shows paving without obvious colour distortion. None of the flux goes above the luminaire, so the light stays on the steps rather than shining upward. It can be phase-dimmed, but only with a trailing-edge (TE) dimmer. The light source is included.Build and servicingIP44 protects against splashing water from any direction, and IK10 means a front with high impact resistance, which matters on walkways at foot height. The glass is satin safety glass, the body is sealed with a silicone gasket and the cable entry with an EPDM gland. The LED module and driver are replaced by a professional service, and the manufacturer stocks both as spare parts.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
