Mantra ASIMETRIC 6221 is a white steel wall light with a curved front and a sloping profile when viewed from the side. Designed by Manel Lluscà, its cover screens the bulb from the front. The manufacturer's illuminated photograph shows light emerging above and below the housing.Allow for the projection from the wallThe fitting measures 20 cm high, 18.5 cm wide and 9.5 cm deep. Depth is the measurement to compare with the available clearance in a hallway or beside a staircase: it tells you how far the fitting projects into the space. The 9.5 cm figure is not its width; the front occupies 18.5 cm across the wall.Wall mounting provides an additional lighting point without using a tabletop. It can supplement the lighting in a living room, bedroom or dining area. The curved white surface and absence of ornamental details support modern and minimalist interiors, with the contrast between front and side profiles providing the visual interest.Choose the GX53 bulb separatelyThere is one GX53 socket, and the bulb is not included. The assembly instructions for reference 6221 specify an LED bulb rated at no more than 20 W. This is the fitting's permitted limit, not the rating of a supplied light source. Check both the base and the electrical specifications when selecting a bulb.Light output and colour temperature depend on that choice, so a white housing does not establish whether the resulting light will be warm or cool. Mantra lists the fitting as non-dimmable. A dimmable bulb alone should not be taken as permission to plan brightness control.A wall accent and a fixed installationThe visible upward and downward light is useful for an additional wall accent in an entrance hall, corridor or living area. This is not an adjustable reading spotlight that can be aimed at a book. Assess the room's overall lighting using the selected bulb and any other fittings rather than the housing's appearance.ASIMETRIC is a Class I fitting and requires a protective earth connection.
