Argon Harlem 8547 table lamp beige, marbled glass and brushed brass

Name: Argon Harlem 8547 table lamp beige, marbled glass and brushed brass
Brand: ARGON

Harlem 8547 is a table lamp built around a blown glass sphere with white and brown marbling. It stands on a round brushed brass foot, and above it opens a beige satin shade lined with gold. Brass returns in the stem and the shade ring. Size and the space it takes The lamp is 540 mm tall and its widest point is the lower edge of the shade at 300 mm across; towards the top the shade narrows to 250 mm. The foot is only 180 mm, so the lamp rests on a small patch of the surface and spreads only higher up — compare that figure with the depth of a chest of drawers or a console table. The glass sphere is about 250 mm across and 230 mm high, the shade itself 250 mm. The whole thing weighs 2.6 kg. Which bulb to buy The fitting has one E27 socket for 230 V and comes without a light source. The manufacturer allows LED lamps only, up to 15 W — on the installation card the incandescent bulb is crossed out and the LED is ticked. The envelope matters more than the wattage: the maximum is 50 mm across and 105 mm long. The classic A60 pear is 60 mm and will not fit, which leaves candle lamps, a G45 golf ball or a slim tube. The lamp can be dimmed, but that needs a bulb marked dimmable and a dimmer. Materials and finishes The sphere is glass and the marbling in white and brown runs across its whole surface. The metal parts — foot, stem and shade ring — are brushed brass, matt and finely streaked rather than mirror-bright. The shade is beige satin fabric lined with gold: light bounced off a lining like that comes down warmer than off a white one. The collection also holds version 8548, with a plum violet shade. Cord, switch and where it can stand The lamp is ready for a wall socket: the cord has a black cotton braid with a black switch sitting on it, so it is switched at the lamp rather than at the wall. It is protection class II, double insulated, and needs no earth. IP20 and the house pictogram on the installation card mean an indoor lamp only — a side table in the living room, a bedroom chest of drawers or a dining-room sideboard, and equally hotel and restaurant interiors.Näytä lisää
