CHAIN 91 is a linear pendant built from three overlapping steel links finished in matte brown. The links form a bar 91 cm long and 10 cm across, and the light escapes through the gaps between them — alternately upwards and downwards. Thoro designed the CHAIN collection with RYZY Studio and makes it in Poland. How it hangs The manufacturer gives a total suspension height of 200 cm, measured from the ceiling to the lower edge of the bar. Over a dining table the usual rule is to leave the bottom edge of a fitting 70–80 cm above the tabletop, so at a typical ceiling height the cords are shortened on installation. The ceiling rose is a cylinder 6 cm in diameter and 26 cm long — a narrow part that covers little of the ceiling. A 91 cm bar keeps good proportions over a table for four; for a longer top Thoro offers the same fitting in a 158 cm version. The lamp weighs 3.5 kg, and 4.5 kg packed. Light and dimming The source is an LED strip built permanently into the links — there is no lamp holder for a bulb, and the source is part of the fitting and arrives with it. The manufacturer states 9.75 W, 1290 lm and a colour temperature of 3000 K, a warm white with a slightly yellow cast close to an old incandescent bulb. The energy class of the fitting is F. The fitting has PUSH-DIMM/DALI control built in, so the output is adjusted without changing a bulb. PUSH-DIMM works with an ordinary retractive push switch and DALI needs a controller for that system — either has to be allowed for in the wiring, because a plain phase-cut dimmer will not do. IP20 protection restricts the lamp to dry interiors. Where the manufacturer puts it Thoro intends the fitting for a dining table and a kitchen island, and for corridors, lobbies and restaurants — wherever a long horizontal line gives a room its order. The collection covers a pendant in 91 and 158 cm plus a wall light, in a dozen and more colour versions, each in 3000 K and 4000 K. The manufacturer gives a five-year warranty.Afișează mai mult
