Direzza is a directional outdoor wall light in a matt silver-grey finish. The head sits on a knuckle held by a single cross-head screw — loosen it and the reflector tilts, then stays where it is set. The light source is bought separately. How big it is and where it goes The fitting measures 16 cm along its axis and 6.5 cm across. Those are the figures to compare with the width of a door frame, or with the gap left between a door and the corner of the house. The base is a cylinder of similar thickness to the head, so on the wall the light occupies a single narrow strip. IP54 covers dust and splashing water from any direction, so the fitting can hang on an unsheltered wall. It runs on 230 V straight from the house wiring. Which lamp to buy The socket is GU10 and the maximum lamp rating is 8 W. No lamp is supplied — Rendl recommends its own light source, article G14558, though any GU10 lamp within that limit will fit. This is also where the light colour gets decided: 2700–3000 K gives warm, slightly yellow light at an entrance, while 4000 K reads distinctly cooler and more technical. The fitting can be dimmed, but the lamp and a dimmer in the circuit decide that — both are needed, because the light itself does not control brightness. Aiming the light, and the finish The knuckle gives a 90° range of tilt, the full quarter turn between a beam thrown straight off the wall and a beam running along it. The maker intended this fitting for places where light should not spill into the surroundings but land on the front door, a section of facade, a terrace or a balcony.
