LAGOS 4210 is a single-point wall light with a movable head: a cylindrical spot sits on a round 8 cm backplate, joined to it by a brass-coloured knuckle. The body is steel finished in textured black paint; the knuckle and the stem are brass-plated steel. Where it goes and how much room it needs The manufacturer intends it for the wall, but the same fitting can also be mounted on the ceiling as a surface light — one fixing, two uses. The backplate takes two screws, and the installation needs a supply cable brought out at the fixing point. The fitting is 9 cm tall and the backplate is 8 cm across — little even beside a narrow door frame or at a bedside table. It projects at most 15.5 cm from the wall, and that is the outer limit: the head turns in the knuckle, so folded towards the wall it takes up noticeably less. That movement is the point of the fitting — the light goes onto a book, a picture or the wall rather than lighting the whole room. Which bulb and what light The socket is GU10 on 230 V and the source is not included — you choose it yourself. The manufacturer states a maximum of 5 W and LED only: on the installation card the classic incandescent lamp is crossed out. A 5 W GU10 LED gives roughly as much light as an old 40 W bulb, so this is point lighting rather than general lighting. The bulb has to fit inside an envelope of 51 × 57 mm. An ordinary GU10 reflector fits without trouble, but elongated tube-shaped sources do not — that is the dimension to check in the bulb's own description. The fitting works with a dimmer, though dimming only happens if the bulb itself is dimmable too. Build and connection The manufacturer classes the fitting as protection class I, so the supply circuit needs an earth conductor — on an older two-core installation that is the point to check before buying. The IP20 rating assumes dry interiors. The whole fitting weighs 0.26 kg, so mounting calls for nothing beyond ordinary wall plugs.
