COCENT LE62347 is a recessed downlight with a built-in LED module. From below only the deep matt black ring shows; above it, on the far side of the ceiling, sits a finned aluminium heatsink, and inside the ring there is a micro-prismatic diffuser. How big it is and how it goes in The ring is 13.6 cm across and the whole fitting is 5.7 cm deep. That second figure is the one to check before buying: that much clear space has to be left above the ceiling board, measured upwards from its underside. A pair of spring clips on the sides of the body holds it — the fitting pushes into a cut hole, the clips open out above the board and pull the ring tight against the ceiling from below. Once it is in, only the ring stays below the ceiling; the heatsink and the module sit above the board. The light it gives The module draws 14 W and emits 1212 lm — clearly more than the old 60 W bulb, which gave around 800 lm. 3000 K is warm white and the spread is 90°, so the light covers a wide circle below the fitting rather than forming a narrow pool. The colour rendering index is above Ra 90. That matters where colours have to be right — over a worktop, at a mirror, over a display. The micro-prismatic diffuser spreads the light across the whole aperture, so looking into the fitting does not show a point source. Module, life and wiring The light source is fixed in place and there is nothing to change — when it stops lighting, the whole fitting is replaced. The manufacturer states a life of 50,000 hours, and the aluminium heatsink above the ring carries away the heat that figure depends on. The fitting runs on 230 V and the body is aluminium in a matt black finish. The IP20 rating means dry rooms, away from the zones around a bath or a shower.Pokaż więcej
