Zambelis 180017 is a recessed spot: an aluminium cylinder 4 cm across and 10 cm long on a round 6 cm base that disappears into the ceiling. The finish is sandy black and the head stays movable — it tilts through 90° and rotates through 355°. Fitting and aiming The luminaire drops into a 4.5 cm hole; the 6 cm base covers the edge of the cut-out and spring clips hold it in the ceiling. The cylinder itself stays below the ceiling plane and projects 10 cm, so this is a visible fitting rather than one flush with the plaster. The head tilts through 90° and rotates through 355°, which puts the beam on practically any point within reach — after installation too, without taking anything down from the ceiling. The driver is a separate purchase This is a class III fitting running on 20 V at 350 mA, so it is not wired straight to 230 V. No driver is included and without one the spot will not light; the manufacturer names the KGP7 on-off driver for one fitting, or a DALI driver. That choice also settles dimming: with the on-off driver the spot runs at full output, with the DALI driver the brightness can be regulated. The driver passes through the same mounting hole, so it hides above the ceiling without a separate box. What light it gives The built-in COB LED module draws 7 W and delivers 660 lm in a 36° beam. An old 60 W bulb gave around 800 lm scattered in every direction — here a similar quantity of light lands in one clearly drawn circle, which makes this accent lighting rather than general lighting. At 3000 K the colour is warm, and colour rendering is Ra 90: the colours of a picture, a fabric or goods on a shelf appear under this light almost as they do by day. The manufacturer also states UGR below 15 and colour consistency between units within SDCM below 3 — across several fittings in one row that is the difference between an even ceiling and a patchy one. The light source cannot be replaced; the manufacturer rates it at 40,000 hours to a 30% drop in output (L70B50). Build and use The body is all aluminium in matt sandy black with no shade — the light leaves through an open cylinder with the diode set deep inside, which together with the low UGR keeps glare down.
