RIDA is a ceiling light built from three rectangular frames in white aluminium, laid over one another at an offset and carried on a single ceiling plate. The lit element is the inner edge of each frame, behind white acrylic, so the light source itself is never seen directly. How much ceiling it needs The body occupies a rectangle of 78 × 67 cm and drops 8 cm below the ceiling. This is a large fitting: hold those figures against the width of the table or sofa it is meant to hang over, because above smaller furniture the frames will overhang it. The ceiling plate itself measures 23 × 12 cm and covers the wiring box. Mounting height is fixed — the manufacturer gives minimum and maximum height as the same 8 cm — so the fitting can be neither lowered nor shortened. What light it gives The fitting runs at two colour temperatures: 3000 K and 4000 K. The first is warm white, which keeps wood and fabric looking comfortable; the second is neutral and clearer for working at a table. Output exceeds 4300 lm, enough to serve as the main light of a medium-sized room. The beam angle is 120°, so light spreads broadly across the room rather than forming a pool beneath the fitting. A colour rendering index of Ra 80 is the ordinary figure for general lighting. The fitting cannot be dimmed — the manufacturer states no dimming, so a wall dimmer will change nothing here. Light source and power draw The light source is part of the set; no lamps have to be bought. The whole fitting draws 78 W — that is the combined figure for all three frames, not for one of them. The manufacturer declares energy efficiency class G and a service life of 50,000 operating hours. Mounting and connection The fitting weighs 2.97 kg and is held on the plate screwed to the ceiling. It is protection class I, so an earth conductor must be present in the box, and the connection is an electrician's job.
