SABINA 6412 is a 59 cm ceiling light: a steel base plate, a tapered fabric shade with a coarse, clearly visible weave in natural beige, and a white opal acrylic diffuser closing it from below. It stands 14.5 cm proud of the ceiling. The SABINA range was designed by José Ignacio Ballester. How big it is and how it mounts The shade measures 59 cm across the lower rim and 50.5 cm across the top, and the fitting sits flush against the ceiling — at 14.5 cm deep it takes no headroom, so it also works in a room with a low ceiling. Compare the diameter with the clear ceiling area where the light is to go. The base plate screws to the ceiling at three points set out on a 403 × 403 mm grid; mark that spacing before drilling. The fitting is protection class I, so it needs an earth connection — the ceiling box must carry a PE conductor. It weighs 2.2 kg. Which bulbs to buy Five E27 lampholders sit in a ring under the shade. Bulbs are not supplied, and the manufacturer allows a maximum of 20 W per lampholder — that is the limit for the bulb, not the fitting's own consumption. The envelope must not exceed 60 mm in diameter or 120 mm in length, or it will not clear the shade. Five sources of around 800 lm each — the equivalent of the old 60 W bulb — give general light for a whole room; weaker bulbs drop it to an ambient level. The manufacturer states that the fitting is not dimmable, so the output cannot be regulated — colour and brightness are set by the bulbs you choose. Construction The shade is fabric with a visible weave, stretched over the steel base plate. A white acrylic diffuser closes it underneath: it hides the bulbs and directs the light downwards. Supply is 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz. The fitting is intended for interiors — living room, bedroom and dining room.
