The Nordlux Mademoiselles table lamp pairs a low, wide shade with a cylindrical white marble base. The white metal shade is 32 cm across and shaped like a flattened dome; a slim brass stem joins it to the stone, and a small brass switch sits on the front of the marble. The GU10 lamp does not shine straight down through the shade. Light is directed upward, bounces off the underside of the shade and returns into the room as a soft, indirect glow. The shade can tilt up to 45°, so the bounce can shift slightly without becoming a task spotlight. Size and where it sits Overall height is 41.7 cm; width and length follow the 32 cm shade. The base is only 9 cm in diameter, yet the lamp weighs 4.5 kg net, so the narrow foot still sits firmly. Measure the surface first: the shade overshoots the marble cylinder and needs about 32 cm of clear width plus space above so the tilt does not hit a shelf. A white textile cable, 250 cm long, leaves the base. It is not replaceable, so compare that length with the distance to the socket rather than planning to shorten it in the installation. Marble is a natural material: veining and the exact white tone differ from lamp to lamp. Light source and operation The fitting takes one GU10 bulb, maximum 15 W. No lamp is included; colour temperature and output depend on the bulb you buy. The luminaire is not dimmable. The switch is on the base, within reach on a bedside table or console. Supply voltage is 220–240 V, protection class II (double insulation), IP20. It is an indoor lamp for dry rooms, not for a bathroom and not for outdoors. Use and character The indirect light and low, wide shade suit a living-room sideboard, a nightstand, a dressing table or a dining-room console when you want atmosphere rather than a hard reading beam. The same logic applies in a hotel room or at a restaurant table: the lamp occupies the surface, not the ceiling.
