Garden Bollard Light Luces Exclusivas CALMARE LE75121 black LED 13 W 90 cm
CALMARE is a 90 cm bollard light built from a slim rectangular column in matt black. The head cantilevers out to one side of the column, and the square aperture with its glass lens sits on the underside of that overhang. The column stands on a flat base plate that bolts down. Height and footprint At 90 cm the fitting reaches roughly to an adult's waist, so it lights the surface rather than the faces of people walking past. The column takes a rectangle of 13 × 15 cm on the ground — 15 cm of that is the depth including the head's overhang, which has to be set back from the edge of a path or driveway. The base is flat and screwed down, so the bollard is placed on a finished surface — paving, a terrace, a concrete pad — rather than driven into soil. How much light, and in which direction The source is a built-in LED module of 13 W and 757 lm. That is about as much light as an old 60 W bulb gave, at 3000 K — warm white with a slightly yellow cast. The module is fixed in place and cannot be replaced: at end of life the whole fitting is changed. Because the head projects past the column and the aperture looks down from under that overhang, the light goes one way — onto the surface beside the bollard rather than all around it. The maker states that the lens carries the light as far as 12 metres from the fitting, and that figure is what sets the spacing between bollards along a path. Build and outdoor use The body is aluminium finished in matt black, and the aperture is closed by a glass lens. IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, so the fitting can stand in the open with no shelter.
