Highlights at a Glance Weight: 258.0 g Drop: 6 mm Technology: FlexZone™, DNA TUNED Upper: soft, breathable flat-knit upper with 62.8% recycled materials FlexZone™ for Flexible Movement The men's Brooks Glycerin Flex focuses on flexibility from landing through toe-off. In the midfoot, Brooks incorporates FlexZone™, a flex groove that provides flexible support and supports your body's preferred motion path. It is complemented by a podular design in the forefoot. According to Brooks, FlexZone™ and the forefoot construction work together to provide flexibility and support where you need them. Rather than holding your foot rigidly in place, the shoe allows it to move freely and naturally, according to the manufacturer. This construction is a defining feature of the Glycerin Flex, with targeted flexibility through the midfoot and forefoot designed specifically around movement. DNA TUNED for Tuned Cushioning For cushioning, Brooks uses nitrogen-infused DNA TUNED foam. The heel features large cells that Brooks associates with airy landings. In the forefoot, the construction instead uses small cells for powerful toe-offs. By tuning the heel and forefoot differently, the Glycerin Flex combines its flexible construction with what Brooks describes as comfortable cushioning. The road running shoe has a 6 mm drop and a specified weight of 258.0 g. Brooks describes the combination of the flex groove and innovative cushioning as providing a flexible, comfortable ride from landing through toe-off. Flexible and Breathable Flat-Knit Upper The upper is also designed around the flexible construction of the Brooks Glycerin Flex. Brooks uses a soft, breathable flat-knit upper that stays flexible and moves with your foot. This allows the fit to complement the mobility provided by FlexZone™ in the midfoot and the podular design in the forefoot. Brooks specifically describes the fit as comfortable and flexible. At the same time, 62.8% of the materials in the upper are recycled materials. According to Brooks, this figure represents the percentage by weight of the material that comes from post- or pre-consumer sources. The Glycerin Flex therefore combines its flexible upper with a specifically stated proportion of recycled materials. Who Is the Glycerin Flex For? The men's Brooks Glycerin Flex is designed for road running, daily runs, and long runs. Brooks also lists running or gym workouts as ideal uses. It is therefore designed for you if you are looking for a road running shoe with flexible support, tuned DNA TUNED cushioning, and a comfortable, flexible fit for these activities. FlexZone™ supports your body's preferred motion path, while the flexible flat-knit upper moves with your foot. FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions How does FlexZone™ work in the Brooks Glycerin Flex?
