Aqua Frosted Dot Highball Glass 13.5 cm

Name: Aqua Frosted Dot Highball Glass 13.5 cm
Brand: BAZAR BIZAR

The Frosted Dot Highball is a thick-walled glass 13.5 cm tall and 8 cm across. The wall is densely seeded with fine air bubbles, and bands of raised round discs run around the outside. They produce the effect the name comes from: the glass looks lightly frosted while staying see-through. Size and what arrives One listing is one glass weighing 0.4 kg. In some of the photographs it stands beside a shorter vessel from the same range — that is a separate product, not part of a set. The base is 8 cm across, so the glass takes up about as much worktop as an ordinary mug while standing distinctly taller. At 13.5 cm it is worth checking the clearance of the shelf it is meant for, and the height of the dishwasher basket. The glass, the bubbles and the shade The maker calls the colour "Aqua", but in the photographs — including the maker's own — the glass reads as a pale, transparent green, deepest in the thick base. It is not a saturated blue, so when matching it to the rest of a table setting, plan around green rather than blue. The maker notes that shade and texture vary slightly between pieces. With this technique the bubbles and small irregularities fall differently in every example, so the glasses that arrive will not be identical, either to each other or to the photograph. The glass is made in China. The highball format Highball means a tall, narrow glass — the ratio of 13.5 cm of height to 8 cm of diameter places it between a classic water glass and a slim long-drink one. The thick base gives it a weight that keeps it steadier on a worktop than thin-walled glass. The raised discs make the surface uneven — fingers do not slide on it the way they do on a smooth wall, particularly once the glass beads with condensation.Pokaż więcej
