s.luce Velo 3-light pendant, clear glass, white 120 cm canopy bar, Ø 18/20/25 cm

Name: s.luce Velo 3-light pendant, clear glass, white 120 cm canopy bar, Ø 18/20/25 cm
Brand: s.luce

Velo in its three-light version is a pendant on a white 120 cm ceiling bar, with three ribbed clear-glass shades of 18, 20 and 25 cm diameter hanging below it. The shades differ in height — 33, 20 and 27 cm — and are open at the bottom, so the light falls straight down. Cables and bar are white. How to lay it out over a table The bar is 120 cm long and 10 cm wide — the figure to compare with the length of the table it will hang over. A single slot runs along it and the three suspensions slide freely in that slot: the shades can be spaced evenly, pushed together off-centre, or centred over the table even when the ceiling outlet is not above its middle. Each shade hangs on its own 150 cm cable, shortened independently of the others. Over a dining table of the usual 75 cm height the bottom edges are normally set 70–80 cm above the top — with three shades of different heights, decide whether to line those edges up or hang them deliberately at three levels. What bulbs to buy The fitting has three E27 lampholders and takes a bulb of up to 40 W in each. Bulbs are not included, so you choose the colour and output — over a table that usually means warm light of 2700–3000 K. Clear glass hides nothing: the bulb is fully visible, so the look of the lit fitting depends on which one you buy. It can be dimmed, but only with suitable bulbs and a dimmer in the installation — the fitting carries no control gear of its own. The open bottoms aim the light at the tabletop, so it lights the table rather than the whole room. Build and installation The shades are mouth-blown glass; bar and suspensions are metal. The manufacturer intends the light for dining rooms, living rooms and bedrooms, and IP20 keeps it to dry indoor spaces. It is protection class I, so it has to be connected to an earth conductor; the bar is fixed to the ceiling and the manufacturer recommends four screws for that.Meer tonen
