Gallery Direct Luna Overmantle Mirror, Silver Bevelled Glass 112 x 86.5 cm

Name: Gallery Direct Luna Overmantle Mirror, Silver Bevelled Glass 112 x 86.5 cm
Brand: Gallery Direct

Luna is a rectangular wall mirror framed by four bevelled mirror strips. The frame is 5 cm wide and its side edge is black, so from the front you see only silvered glass and from the side a thin dark line. It hangs in portrait or landscape — the manufacturer allows both. How big it is and where it hangsThe mirror measures 112 × 86.5 cm and stands 4 cm off the wall. Hung landscape it is 112 cm wide, a figure to set against the width of the fireplace, chest of drawers or sofa it will hang above. Hung portrait it takes up 112 cm of height, worth comparing with the clear wall between the furniture below and the ceiling. The back carries D-ring hangers. The mirror weighs 12.78 kg and the fixings in the wall carry all of it, so wall plugs should be chosen for that load — particularly on a plasterboard wall. What it is made ofThe face and the frame strips are mirror glass, and the frame structure is polystyrene (PS). The bevel on the strip edges catches light differently from the flat face, which is why the frame stands out from the centre even though it reflects the same way. A frame with no wood or metal, covered entirely in mirror, is typical of the glamour style — it suits a wall that the mirror should brighten rather than add a new colour to.DeliveryThe mirror arrives in a flat pack measuring 128.5 × 103 × 5.5 cm that weighs 15.5 kg with packaging. That is the size to check before carrying it through a narrow door, a lift or a tight turn in the stairwell.Meer tonen
