The LED Labs Standard strip, index 16-1001-02, is a 5 m reel. It has 30 5050 SMD RGB diodes per metre, so the full reel has 150 light points. The PCB is 10 mm wide with 2 oz copper. This IP65 version is coated in silicone and has double-sided tape on the back. The manufacturer photograph shows a black reel, a white board and a four-conductor lead with a white plug. The card does not describe that plug's pinout. Power and cutting This is a linear light source, not a finished fitting. It needs a 12 V DC power supply, which is not on the reel. Power is 7.2 W per metre, so the full 5 m draws 36 W. Size the supply to the length you actually connect, with headroom above that draw. A shorter piece draws proportionally less. An RGB controller is also required and is not included. No control protocol is stated. The cut interval is 100 mm. After a cut, each piece still needs 12 V and an RGB controller. Luminous flux and CRI are not on the card, so brightness cannot be set against a fitting of known lumen output. At 7.2 W/m this is accent light, not a substitute for general room lighting. Colour and sealing The colour is not a fixed white. The controller selects it from the RGB palette. The 2700–6500 K table at the bottom of the datasheet is a legend for white versions and does not apply to index 16-1001-02. The colour field on this card reads RGB. IP65 is protection against water jets, not immersion. The silicone coat is why the producer allows places where the strip may meet moisture, including a kitchen or bathroom. The operating range of −20 °C to +50 °C covers outdoor mounting inside that range. A pool, standing water or a position below the waterline does not follow from this rating. Where to compare the length The producer points to light under a kitchen cabinet, at a desk, on shelves and in cupboards, and to a colour accent in a home, restaurant or club. A 10 mm strip fits a shallow groove or the underside of a cabinet if there is room for the silicone and the plug. Compare the piece length with the worktop or shelf. One reel does not mean the light will cover a whole run of cabinets. The tape is for a smooth, degreased surface. The card does not state how much load the adhesive will hold. Warranty is 2 years, or 24 months. Lifetime on the product card is 15,000 hours. The strip was made in China for LED Labs S.A. in Kraków. The datasheet also carries CE and RoHS marks.Meer tonen
