The JUPITER 14362-16 is a round ceiling light 35 cm across with a white plastic shade. The shade is covered with many small translucent dots that turn into a starry-sky effect once the light is on. A narrow silver-coloured ring closes the rim, and the whole fitting stands only 8.5 cm proud of the ceiling. How big it is and where it fits 35 cm across and 8.5 cm deep make a flat disc sitting against the ceiling — nothing hangs down and no headroom is lost, so it also suits a room with a low ceiling. It weighs 0.46 kg, so an ordinary ceiling fixing carries it. The fitting is protection class I, which means the box behind it has to carry an earth conductor. The manufacturer intends it for indoor use only. The same shade comes in the JUPITER series at 44 and 59 cm as well, if a larger room has to be covered. How much light it gives and how it changes colour The light source is a permanently built-in LED module — there is no socket and no bulb to buy, but the module cannot be swapped by hand either. The module alone is rated 13.6 W and 1800 lm, while the manufacturer gives 1350 lm as the flux that leaves the shade; the complete fitting draws 17 W. Those 1350 lm are clearly more than an old 60 W bulb, which is the level at which it works as the only light in a smaller room. Colour temperature steps through three settings — 3000 K, 4000 K and 5000 K — by switching the wall switch on again. 3000 K is warm white, 4000 K neutral, and 5000 K a cool, daylight-like white. A memory function stores the last setting, so the fitting comes back on the same colour after the power has been cut. The wall switch is the only control: no remote and no dimming are provided. Which room it suits The manufacturer names a child's room, a bedroom and the living area. The starry-sky effect shows after dark, and switching to 5000 K turns the same fitting into bright light for homework or play. The shape is plain and modern: a flat circle with no ornament, a white shade and a narrow metal ring around the edge.
