Pendant lamp Rendl ENCOMBRE chrome foil E27 LED max 15 W Ø 43 cm

Name: Pendant lamp Rendl ENCOMBRE chrome foil E27 LED max 15 W Ø 43 cm
Brand: Rendl light studio

ENCOMBRE is a pendant lamp whose shade is built from overlapping folded scales covered in chrome foil. The shade is 43 cm across and 38 cm high, and its mirrored surface repeats the lit bulb in every single scale. How big it is and how it hangsThe cable is 130 cm, so that is the range within which the drop is set. Over a table the bottom edge of a shade usually sits 70–80 cm above the top, and a 43 cm shade keeps its proportions over a table 80–90 cm wide. The whole fitting weighs 0.65 kg, a load an ordinary ceiling hook will carry. The shade is plastic rather than sheet metal, which is where the low weight at 43 cm across comes from.Bulb and dimmingThe lampholder is E27, and the manufacturer allows LED bulbs of up to 15 W in it and nothing else. That is a ceiling for the bulb you buy separately — none is included, so colour temperature and brightness are your choice. The lamp can be dimmed, but only when the bulb itself is dimmable and there is a dimmer in the circuit. Rendl pairs it with a dimmable 5.9 W E27 LED bulb at 2700 K, a warm light close to a traditional incandescent. What arrives in the box, and the shade up closeThe lamp is delivered unassembled — the shade is put together from its scales by hand, following the manufacturer's instructions. That assembly is time to add to the installation. The scales overlap in layers and do not meet edge to edge, so gaps are left between them: light escapes sideways as well as downwards. The chrome foil is mirrored rather than matt, so the shade picks up its surroundings. Rendl makes the same model in copper foil and in white PVC as well.Meer tonen
