Elstead Ashland Bay large outdoor wall lantern burnished bronze E27 max. 60 W IP44 KL-ASHLANDBAY2-L-BU

Name: Elstead Ashland Bay large outdoor wall lantern burnished bronze E27 max. 60 W IP44 KL-ASHLANDBAY2-L-BU
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Ashland Bay is an outdoor wall lantern shaped like a ship's lamp: a cylindrical shade of seeded glass, ribbed bands at the top and bottom edges, a domed cap with a bail handle on top and two vertical bars guarding the glass. The body is aluminium finished in burnished bronze — the maker's own name for the shade is Burnished Bronze. How big it is and how it fixes to the wall The lantern stands 40,4 cm tall and 22,4 cm wide, and projects 24,4 cm from the wall — that third figure is the one that decides whether the fitting intrudes on a front door opening or the swing of a gate leaf. The arm ends in a round mounting plate 15,2 cm across, which covers the wiring box. It weighs 3,15 kg net. For mounting on an external corner of a building the maker offers separate corner brackets coded C-BKT2-BROWN, C-BKT2-BLACK and C-BKT5-BLACK — they are not in the box and have to be bought separately. What lamp it takes Inside there is a single E27 socket for a lamp of up to 60 W. No lamp is supplied, so you choose the colour and brightness yourself — 60 W is the ceiling that must not be exceeded, not the power the fitting draws. The glass is clear but densely seeded with bubbles, so it scatters the light and breaks up the hard glare of a filament; the base of the lantern carries a further flat pane, through which light falls straight down below the fitting. The fitting works on a dimmer, but that calls for a lamp marked as dimmable and a dimmer in the installation. Where it can go An IP44 rating means protection against splashing water from any direction — the level intended for a wall under an eave, arcade or canopy rather than a spot exposed to driving rain. The fitting is class I, so the cable at the mounting point has to carry an earth conductor. Supply: 220–240 V, 50 Hz. Ashland Bay is a family designed by the Kichler brand and distributed by Elstead Lighting. Besides this large wall lantern it covers a medium and a small version, a pedestal lantern, a chain lantern, a two-light flush ceiling fitting and a five-light outdoor chandelier — each in burnished bronze and in weathered zinc.Meer tonen
