Maytoni Zoom DL032-2-01B black recessed downlight GU10 IP65

Name: Maytoni Zoom DL032-2-01B black recessed downlight GU10 IP65
Brand: Maytoni

Maytoni Zoom DL032-2-01B is a black circular recessed downlight with an aluminium body and one GU10 socket. The light source sits inside a recessed opening, leaving a small ring visible at the finished ceiling. It is an inset fitting rather than a surface-mounted ceiling light positioned entirely below the ceiling.Allow for the cut-out and installation depthThe fitting has an outside diameter of 85 mm and requires a round 75 mm mounting hole. These measurements serve different purposes: one describes the visible outline, while the other determines the ceiling cut-out. When replacing an existing spotlight, compare both dimensions with the current opening and the available surface around it.The body itself is 45 mm high, but Maytoni specifies an installation depth of 100 mm with the light source. Do not calculate the space above the ceiling from the body height alone. The installation drawing shows side retaining springs and the socket being connected before the assembly is inserted into the opening. This distinction matters when assessing whether an existing suspended ceiling has enough space.Choose the light characteristics through GU10Zoom takes one replaceable GU10 light source rated at a maximum of 10 W. Colour temperature, light output and beam angle depend on the source you choose. For a group of ceiling spots, select matching light characteristics rather than assuming that the fitting fixes them. This is not an integrated LED downlight with a predetermined lumen output. Maytoni lists this version as non-dimmable, so support for brightness adjustment should not be assumed.A restrained black ceiling detailThe simple circular form suits modern, minimalist and technically styled interiors. It can be considered as a ceiling lighting point in a hallway, kitchen or living area, as well as in hotel and restaurant interiors. The number and spacing of fittings need to suit the room and selected light sources; one downlight does not establish a complete lighting scheme. Its IP65 protection rating is relevant when planning bathroom lighting. That rating does not replace checking the requirements at the specific installation position or having the electrical installation carried out correctly.Show more
