NORLYS Nora 2496AL outdoor wall light in aluminium colour, LED 8 W 4000 K, DALI2

Name: NORLYS Nora 2496AL outdoor wall light in aluminium colour, LED 8 W 4000 K, DALI2
Brand: NORLYS

NORLYS Nora 2496AL is an outdoor wall light shaped as a flat cube measuring 13 × 13 × 5 cm. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated in aluminium colour RAL 9006, a light silvery metallic. Light leaves only through the bottom, via a pane of clear safety glass. How much light it givesThe integrated LED module draws 8 W, and the luminaire delivers 585 lm at 4000 K, a neutral white — cooler than the light of a traditional bulb. That is enough to light an entrance and the strip of wall below the fixture, not to light up a whole yard. Clear glass does not diffuse the output, so the pool of light beneath the luminaire has a more defined edge than with the satin-glass Nora 2497.The manufacturer states an upward light ratio of zero (ULOR 0%), so the light does not spill into the sky. The LED module and driver may only be replaced by an electrician or a service agent, using service kit ZN2496XX0009. The module is rated for more than 52,600 h before its output drops to 90%.Control and wiringThe built-in driver supports DALI2, so on a DALI bus the light can be dimmed and controlled together with other luminaires. It is protection class I, which means it must be connected to a protective earth conductor. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm², and through-wiring up to 5 × 1.5 mm², so further luminaires can be fed from one line. The round-sheathed cable should be 7–10.5 mm in diameter. The fixture is mounted through two Ø5 mm holes spaced 63 × 112 mm apart; wall plugs are not included, and installation should be done by a qualified electrician.Where it can be mountedIP65 means the housing is dust-tight and resists water jets, so the light can be fitted on an exposed façade without a canopy. IK09 stands for resistance to an impact of 10 J. The manufacturer intends it for lighting walls and façades at ambient temperatures from −20 to +45°C. The plain geometric body without ornament suits minimalist, modern architecture.Show more
