TOME SMART is a large ceiling light 60 cm across and only 9 cm deep, in aluminium and acrylic with a matt white finish. The built-in LED module delivers 3250 lm from 50 W and runs at two colour temperatures: 3000 K and 4000 K. 3250 lumens — this lights a whole room It is worth setting that against the market: a typical Ø 40–50 cm ceiling light gives 2000–2500 lm. 3250 lm is roughly three LED bulbs replacing old 75 W lamps. Against the 150–200 lx norm for a living room, one of these realistically covers 16–20 m²; at 300 lx for a kitchen or office, about 10 m². In practice that means TOME SMART is intended as the sole general light in a living room, bedroom or large kitchen — not as a supplement to other sources. Efficacy works out at 65 lm/W. Two colour temperatures in one fitting The manufacturer gives the source as "LED 50 W, 3250 lm, 3000 K / 4000 K" — the fitting offers both, not one fixed value. That resolves the commonest dilemma when buying a ceiling light: 3000 K (warm white) — evenings, living room and bedroom; easier on the eye and better on wood and textiles. 4000 K (neutral white) — kitchen, working, morning use of the room; crisper and less yellow. Note: the manufacturer states both values but does not document how you switch between them — whether by remote, app, a switch on the fitting, or a wall-switch sequence. The name "SMART" implies control, but the product card does not specify it. If the control method matters to you, confirm it before ordering. 9 cm at 60 cm across The proportion matters here. A fitting 60 cm across and 9 cm deep stays a flat disc rather than a volume hanging off the ceiling. The consequences: Ceilings from 240 cm — 9 cm does not noticeably take height out of the room. A large, uniform acrylic surface against the ceiling gives soft, low-contrast light — individual diodes are not visible and shadows in the room stay gentle. A flat disc is easy to dust; there are no rebates for dirt to collect in. Materials and installation Aluminium — body and heatsink in one. At 50 W in a flat housing, getting the heat away determines LED life, so the metal body is a function here, not decoration. Acrylic — the diffusing cover. The light source is built in and included — no socket, no bulb to change. Once the diodes are spent, the whole fitting is replaced.
