Norlys Sandvik Down 1741WH outdoor wall light, white RAL 9003, GU10 LED 3.9 W 2700 K

Name: Norlys Sandvik Down 1741WH outdoor wall light, white RAL 9003, GU10 LED 3.9 W 2700 K
Brand: NORLYS

Sandvik Down 1741WH is a box-shaped Norlys outdoor wall light that shines downwards only. The cast aluminium body is powder-coated white (RAL 9003), and the light opening in the base is closed with clear safety glass. A GU10 LED lamp is included, so the fitting works as soon as it is connected.Size and installation The light is 13.5 cm high and 8 cm wide and projects 11 cm from the wall. Compare them with the free wall space beside a front door or garage door. It is fixed with two screws through ø4.5 mm holes spaced 37 × 80 mm apart; for mounting on a building corner, Norlys offers corner bracket 131, sold separately. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next fitting (up to 3 × 1.5 mm²), so a row of these lights along a facade runs from a single cable. The cable gland suits a cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. The fitting is protection class I and therefore needs an earth connection, while IP65 and IK08 impact resistance allow mounting on an uncovered wall. What light it gives The supplied Philips MASTER LED ExpertColor GU10 lamp draws 3.9 W and gives warm 2700 K light with accurate colour rendering (Ra 90). The fitting emits 210 lm in a 25° beam aimed downwards, and the manufacturer states that none of the light goes upwards. Below it a distinct pool of light forms on the wall and ground, and nothing reaches the window above or the sky. This is lighting for an entrance, a house number or a section of wall, not for a whole yard. The fitting can be dimmed with a phase dimmer, either trailing edge (TE) or leading edge (LE). The GU10 lamp is replaced by the user; if the light is to be dimmed, the replacement must be dimmable too. For the supplied lamp the manufacturer gives an L70 lifetime of more than 40,000 hours, which is over 36 years at three hours a day.Where it fits The plain, angular white body suits a modern, minimalist style. On light render it blends into the wall, while on dark timber, brick or a graphite facade it becomes a clear accent. It is intended for house facades, for hotel and restaurant entrances and for garden walls.Show more
