The Norlys Nidaros 2126GR is a low cylindrical outdoor ceiling light, 12 cm across and 9 cm high, powder-coated graphite RAL 7016. The body is cast aluminium and the underside is closed by clear safety glass. An integrated 2700 K LED module is already fitted, so no separate lamp is needed for the first installation. Clearance under a soffit Nine centimetres of height keeps the cylinder close to the surface it is fixed to. Under a terrace roof, inside a gazebo or beneath a balcony soffit, the gap only has to clear the body itself, not the drop of a pendant. The 12 cm diameter fits between beams when the hole spacing in the supplied instructions matches the substrate. Norlys marks this family for outdoor use only. IP65 describes dust and water jets, not a bathroom and not a pool. The product card specifies mounting on horizontal surfaces and lighting of walls and facades from an overhead plane, not a sconce fixed into a vertical wall. Two fixing holes and the enclosed instructions set the method. Spacer 3084XX0009 is a separate accessory, not part of this article. A narrow warm pool of light The module produces 1000 lm and the luminaire emits 584 lm at 10.6 W. Efficacy of 55.1 lm/W and a 24° downward beam make a concentrated patch under the fitting, not a wash across a garden. ULOR 0% means no flux into the upper hemisphere. The photometric sheet at a 2.5 m mounting height shows local illuminance, so one unit will not stand in for a driveway lantern. 2700 K is warm white. CRI 90 renders object colours more faithfully than a CRI 80 module, and SDCM3 limits tint difference between pieces of the same version. Dimming is phase-cut on both the trailing and the leading edge. The dimmer is not in the box and has to match that method. The contained light source is energy class F. Inrush of 44 mA for 60 ms is low, which matters when several fittings share one circuit. Sealing depends on the cable Protection class I needs a protective earth conductor. Terminals accept up to 3×2.5 mm², a loop connection up to 1.5 mm², and a round sheath of 7–10.5 mm. The silicone gasket may be pierced only by that cable. The manual warns that a tool lowers the IP rating and voids the warranty. Operation is specified from -20 to +45°C, with a rated ambient of +25°C. Impact rating IK06 corresponds to 1 J. Only the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person may replace the LED module, and only with the supply switched off. A cracked protective screen is replaced rather than left in place. Net weight is 0.90 kg and gross weight is 1.00 kg. L70 life exceeds 59,000 hours, which at three hours a day is more than 53 years of module operation, not of the housing.
