PILAR Luces Exclusivas Pendant Lamp LE41754
PILAR is a pendant lamp with an opal glass shade in an oval, slightly flattened shape, 30 cm across. The ceiling rose, the stem, the ring at the top of the shade and the finial below it are metal in a brass finish, and the whole fitting hangs on a black cable. It runs on a single light source with an E27 cap. How big it is and how low it hangs The shade measures 30 cm in diameter — a figure worth comparing with the width of the table or worktop the lamp will hang above. The manufacturer states a total height of 120 cm, meaning the shade together with its cable; the same number appears on the smaller diameters in the series, so it describes the length of the whole assembly rather than the height of the shade. Above a table the bottom edge of the shade is usually set 70–80 cm above the top: the light then covers the table surface without shining into the eyes of people seated at it. Compare those 120 cm with your own ceiling height before deciding where the lamp should hang. Which bulb you need The fitting takes one bulb with an E27 cap and the manufacturer caps its power at 12 W. No bulb is included, so you choose brightness and colour yourself — at 2700–3000 K the light is warm and slightly yellow, at 4000 K neutral white. In practice the 12 W limit means an LED: an incandescent bulb of that rating gives almost no light, so only modern equivalents fit within it. The lamp runs on 230 V and connects to an ordinary ceiling outlet. Materials and form The shade is glass, the remaining parts metal. Opal glass spreads the light across the whole surface of the shade, so the bulb does not show through as a bright point — a difference you notice on a lamp hung low, at eye level. The shape is smooth and undecorated; the white of the glass is set against brass-coloured metal and a black cable.
