Lysfjord 6405 is an outdoor wall light shaped as an upright cylinder of cast aluminium, powder-coated black (RAL 9005). Light leaves only through the top edge, via a cover of optical safety glass. The LED module and driver are built in, so no bulb is needed. How it lights and what it is for Norlys specifies a one-sided 4° beam pointing upwards for this version. A beam that narrow draws a tall, thin stripe of light up the wall, and a ULOR of 100% means all of the light goes above the fitting. Lysfjord 6405 picks out a facade, a pillar or a section of wall, but it will not light the path or the doorway below it. The maker intends it for wall surfaces, facades and other architectural features, such as the front of a house, hotel or restaurant. 3000 K is warm white, and CRI 80 is standard colour rendering. The fitting draws 14.6 W. Control and wiring The DALI outdoor driver supports DALI2 and the NightDim (4DIM) function, but it leaves the factory programmed to maximum current, so without a controller the fitting runs at full output. Norlys programs other parameters by arrangement with its sales department. The fitting is protection class I and must be connected to the protective earth. The terminals take conductors up to 5×2.5 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next fitting (up to 5×1.5 mm²), so a row of these along a facade can run on one supply line. With an inrush current of 26 A / 180 µs, Norlys allows at most 18 fittings on a B10A circuit breaker and 28 on a B16A. The cable gland takes a round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. Size, mounting and servicing The body is 33.5 cm tall and 15 cm in diameter, and it projects 20 cm from the wall. It is fixed through two ø5 mm holes spaced 73×154 mm. IP65 means protection against water jets, so it can hang on an unsheltered wall; impact resistance is IK08. The cover is sealed with a silicone gasket and the cable entry with an EPDM gland. The LED module and driver can be replaced, but only by a professional service. Norlys quotes a module lifetime of L80 over 102,000 h and a driver lifetime of 100,000 h, and the cover is available as service kit number 06645000.Show more
