Norlys Nidaros 2121GB beige grey outdoor ceiling light LED 8.3 W 3000 K 18 cm

Name: Norlys Nidaros 2121GB beige grey outdoor ceiling light LED 8.3 W 3000 K 18 cm
Brand: NORLYS

Nidaros 2121GB is an outdoor ceiling light shaped as a cylinder 18 cm tall and 12 cm in diameter. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium in beige grey (RAL 7006), closed at the bottom by clear safety glass through which the LED module shines. What light it gives and where it fallsIt shines only downward, in a narrow 24° beam. Mounted at 2.5 m, the beam lights a circle about one metre across on the ground: accent light for an entrance, steps or a strip of wall, not a whole terrace. ULOR is 0%, so no light goes up into the sky.The LED module delivers 1051 lm and the whole luminaire 754 lm from 8.3 W, about as much as an old 60 W bulb, in a single cone. 3000 K is warm white, CRI 80 renders the colours of a facade and planting properly, and SDCM3 means several fittings side by side show the same shade of white.Driver, dimming and serviceThe Philips Fortimo LED module and the electronic driver are built in and come with the luminaire, so there is no lamp to buy. It dims with a phase dimmer of either type, trailing edge (TE) or leading edge (LE).The light source is not replaced by the user: a professional service changes the LED module and the driver, and Norlys lists the service kit ZS2121zx0009 for this fitting. The maker rates the module at L90 above 38,000 h and L80 above 50,000 h – the hours for which it keeps 90% and 80% of its output.Mounting and wiringNidaros fixes to a horizontal surface at two points – the ceiling of a canopy or the soffit under the roof eaves, as the maker's instructions show. IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, so it can hang outdoors without further cover. Protection class I requires an earth conductor, and the instructions call for an electrician. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and with up to 1.5 mm² the supply can be looped on to the next fitting on the same circuit. Norlys sells the 3084 spacer separately.Where it fitsThe maker intends it for lighting walls, facades and architectural details – mounted under the eaves it throws a cone of light onto the wall or onto the ground at an entrance. It also suits a covered terrace or a gazebo. The plain, unornamented cylinder in a single colour is a modern, minimalist form.Show more
