LED profile LUMINES type Unico white lacquered 2 m

Name: LED profile LUMINES type Unico white lacquered 2 m
Brand: Lumines

UNICO is a surface-mounted wall profile in white lacquered aluminium, 25 mm wide and 36 mm high in section. The length sold as two metres actually measures 2.02 m, the extra 20 mm being cutting allowance. Two LED strips fit inside, each up to 12 mm wide. Two strips and light aimed sideways The profile has two strip beds and emits to one side only. Mounted on a wall it therefore throws light in a single direction rather than to both sides, which is what the directional lighting the manufacturer intends it for relies on: public spaces and offices. Its category also names wall lights. Two strips mean twice the diodes per metre and twice the heat. The profile dissipates source power up to 42 W at a body temperature of 55 °C and up to 56 W at 65 °C. Those are the ceiling for choosing strips, not power the profile itself draws. Mounting, and where the driver goes The profile is fixed with screws, on a suspension or on a mounting profile, surface-mounted or hung. Its gravity snap-lock works together with the TALIA M2 mounting profile, inside which the driver disappears. That is the answer for installations where the driver has nowhere to hide: ceiling and wall need no separate box. In every build the driver sits outside the profile, because both beds inside are taken. TALIA M1, TALIA M2 and the end caps are separate articles. What has to be bought alongside The profile is sold bare: no LED strips, no DOUBLE cover and no end caps. The cover decides the character of the light — a clear one leaves the individual diodes visible, milky and opal ones blur them into a continuous line, and a black one noticeably dims the whole. End caps come in left and right versions, so closing one length calls for two different pieces. They are made in white, black and silver, with and without a hole, so a white profile can be closed in its own colour and the cable brought out through the drilled version. Joining and working conditions Lengths join into a longer run with a straight or a transverse angled connector, so the line of light can go further than one section. The profile also comes in 1 and 3 m, and a custom size up to 6 m is made to order. The profile is not sealable, so it stays at IP20 and suits dry interiors only. It is not rated to be driven over and is not built into floors.Show more
